The birdbaths have been quiet. Maybe the winter rain we’ve had? Yesterday was different, we had a little flurry. I heard the tirrilink of firefinches and there they were, at the dripping tap birdbath. They usually hide from me.

The tap dripped for sixteen years in Elston Place, and for fifteen years at River Drive; I try to always have a finely-chooned drip going on. Look carefully and you’ll catch a pic mid-drip every so often. The birds love it and sometimes need it. Like us and elephants, they prefer their water clean and fresh.
A Dark-capped Bulbul, a Dusky Fycatcher and Cape White-Eyes joined them.

Fantastic.
