Hawaan Forest

There’s a beautiful patch of coastal forest left in Durban, hanging on as development happens all around it. Strolling around in the forest and on the fringe with sister Sheila and friend Jules, we heard a host of birds n paddas, saw a few and took pics of those plants and creatures that would sit still.

– Jules spots a bushbuck and re-creates her days in Hardening when she used to swing from liana to liana like Tarzan to get to school –

– alive with All Things Bright and Beautiful –
Also slugs – All things dull and ug-ga-ly
All creatures short and squat . .

Next visit we walked through the forest to the deck overlooking the river.
